Description
What’s more cozy than a little Kootenay Campfire In A Can to keep you warm? We’ve developed a little beeswax-fueled idea that is great to put in your daypack or your vehicle for emergencies. But it’s also a terrific gift for that hard-to-shop-for person, too.
This tin is filled with pine shavings soaked in beeswax. Just light and enjoy! It will last for perhaps 30 hours, offering lots of focused heat and light. When you’re done, just put the lid back on and set aside until tne next time. Beeswax candles are great too, but this can is also great for sharing.
Our Kootenay Campfire In A Can can be used to add ambience to your patio dinners. It’s also safe to use indoors. And as an alternative light and heat source, it is a super things to keep tucked away in your vehicle should you get stuck somewhere in winter.
What else can you do with it? Unlike candles, you can use it to toast marshmallows. Make S’mores! And, if you add a little metal riser, you can use it to heat up a metal cup filled with water. (We’re just in the process of developing some cook straps to hold an enameled cup, and a S’mores kit. Watch for updates!)
Kootenay Campfire In A Can is made without any chemicals or toxic substances. Contents are literally just pine shavings and beeswax. You can also add a small piece of tree sap to help focus the flame when first lit.
Instructions:
Place on non-flammable surface, such as a rock, plate or piece of tile. Remove lid. Light shavings. Enjoy! You may periodically need to pour a little molten beeswax off, similar to trimming a wick. When finished, place lid back on. Do not blow out, as this may scatter fine pine ashes.
Obligatory cautionary words:
Of course, this is an open flame and the tin can get hot. Be careful with it. Don’t use it to set your house, hair or your buddy on fire.
